Our Projects

The Christian believers have always come forward in generosity in supporting the Bible cause. This is demonstrated in the fact that as long ago as 1919, the Mizo Synod (Assembly in those days) appointed two of its pastors to be involved in fundraising drive during their annual Assembly meetings. The local churches too were giving generously for the Bible cause right from early times. Presently as many as 31 Church denominations work together closely. From among the 16 Auxiliaries of the BSI, the Aizawl Auxiliary has been consistently at the forefront in mobilization of monetary resources to support the Bible Work. Bibles and New Testaments have been produced in several languages covered by the Auxiliary operations. It is involved in marking several occasions along with the Christian public of Mizoram to celebrate God’s Word as living Hope for the World. Mr. Khiangthanga, as one single individual who campaigned and raised funds for the Bible cause consistently through several years, was honoured with William Carey Award posthumously at the Millennium celebrations of BSI in Delhi during 17-19 November 2000. The Auxiliary has an acclaimed choir consisting of volunteer singers known as BESY Choir named after the Bible Society; they tour different parts of the Country and abroad on special occasions giving witness to the power of God’s Word through music.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
